Our newly converted gite is situated in the Haute Pyrenees approximately 40 minutes from Pau and 1hr 30 from Toulouse airports.
Gite d'Arros is well situated for sampling the delights of skiing in the Pyrenees which have some of the longest continuous pistes in Europe.  The delights of the mountains can really be appreciated by walkers, motor bikers and cyclists.
In the summer there are two music festivals; one being jazz at Marciac (30mins), the largest jazz festival in Europe and the other is a country and western festival held in Mirande (40mins), supposedly the biggest outside the USA.
Situated in the small village of Lameac north east of Tarbes our gite is within easy access of Auch and Lourdes.  Biarritz and Carcassonne are also perfect places to visit on day trips out.
